Rain-X, yes or no?

In another thread, Rob Cooley mentioned he uses Rain-X on his windshield. So that brings up my question.

Every time I'm about ready to make the decision to use Rain-X I read or hear something negative about it. One negative I hear is that it reduces nighttime vision through the windshield. Is this true?

I would appreciate comments, pro and con, from those who have been there, done that.

Thanks.
