Joe and Jane Saladino have offered to coordinate our 1st Hand and Foot Tournament.

This will be held on a game night. The date will be coming.

Hand & Foot (H&F) Card Tournament

Hand & Foot, a variation on Canasta, is a very popular card game.

Rules:

At a minimum, there are as many variations of H&F as there are cards in a deck. Therefore, the coordinators, Jane & Joe Saladino, will establish the rules. Rules will be printed and placed at each table. Jane plays H&F a couple times a week. She will be the final playing judge. We hope to have one experienced H&F player at each table to facilitate playing.

Overview

The plan is to have three person teams. The number of teams will be determined by the number of peoples that sign up to play. Since teams will be comprised of experienced and inexperienced players, we decided to create teams by a simple draw system to offset experienced players creating their own team. The teams will be decided by drawing a ticket containing, team name & number.

Playing Plan

Two teams of three players will be assigned to each table. At the end of each round, the team with the highest score, at that table, will remain seated. The team with the lower score, will move and play the wining team at a different table. We will develop a simple playing rotation for the tournament. No team will be eliminated from playing due to low points. We think we will be able to play three rounds before naming a championship team.

When are we Playing

On one of the game nights. The exact date will be on the schedule in the Greetings Package received when signing in at the Rally.

Championship Team

The team with the highest point total during the tournament.

Prizes

Prizes, yet to be determined, will be awarded to each player on the Championship Team.
