Free standing dinette table & bracket
Looking for Montana Free standing dinette table top, bracket, chair buddy, wall cabinet. I would like to replace the current pedestal table and replace with the Montana Free Standing type, I’ve seen this on a 3121RL

Are you saying you have a free standing table and want to change it for the wall mounted table? High Country has the free standing table and Montana has the wall mounted table. We have the wall mounted table and just took it out last weekend to replace with a free standing table! We've found the wall mount table to be much too high for comfortable use ans we can't get past it without running the slide out a little. I am debating on building a custom table/desk or making a pedestal base for the wall mounted table top. Trekwood does have the tables and accessories.

MikeandJo4 could describe this better than me since he has taken a table out (I have never taken a wall mounted table out) - but you need to know that (I believe) the support for the cantilevered table is contained and hidden in a built-out "cabinet" (see pics below). If you are thinking of adding such a table - will you also build the "cabinet" to hide the support? Again - I am just thinking out loud here. I have never taken the cabinet apart to look at how the table is mounted. Also - I would bet that the table is not simply bolted to the exterior wall studs and hangs off the wall...seems like too much weight for the slideout wall - but I may be completely wrong. Someone else will have better information.

You can see most of the bracket in the photo and it is screwed into the wall with small screws. There are 2 screws right at table height which do most of the holding. I was surprised as I took them out that the table would stay up at all. The box on the wall is a separate piece that was screwed on very securely...

Free Standing Dinette
Hi MikeandJo4,
I think you have what I need, Montana in all the information that I could find has it listed as a "Free Standing Dinette" and it is attached to the wall. The one that I have has a single Pedestal leg in the middle. I'm looking to get more room under the table for a Blow up mattress when needed.
I was confused myself, I would have called my dinette "Free Standing" but I went with what they said. I hope this is clear now!
So I am looking for the table, wall mount, chair buddy, and that cabinet where the popup electrical out lets are. Maybe we can do some type of swap?
Regards

Sorry, somehow the photo did not show up right away. Yes, this is what I'm looking for!
The cabinet I mentioned is the wall build out.
We we can either do a swap or let me know how much you would like to sell these for.

Rmora2175,
I'm not sure on the height of your table but height is why we are changing ours. Normal table height is about 29". I have to remeasure ours again as I've forgotten but it is at least 4-5" taller making it very uncomfortable or unusual for eating. Especially for my wife. The chairs seem normal height. We looked at lowering the table but the metal bracket is underneath the table so there is no room to lower it or it will hit your legs.
The concept of the table is great with the storage inside and no legs to get in the way but Keystone obviously never sat at one of these. Neither did we when we bought it!!
We'll be working on ours this weekend and will decide just what we need to keep or get rid of. I can PM you if we want to try to get some of our parts to you. I have a base already started.
Thanks,
Mike

One thing you might think about is how it would mount to the wall the wall are thin and not much to grab on too. I would almost bet keystone put some sort of plate in wall to mount the table too. Just something to think about.

Thanks Dan, yes I was wondering about that! I was hoping that wall cabinet had something to do with strength.

My RV is in storage but can go and check the height of the table. I never would have imagined that the table height would be anything but the correct height. Keystone may have had to make the table height higher because of the bracket! Once you decide on what you are doing let me know. Thanks and good luck with your modifications!

One thing you might consider is going with a 4 leg table instead of a pedestal. Will open up space where pedestal was. If you are handy enough, you can make your own 4 leg table that will have legs that fold up so you can open up that space when needed. I have considered taking the top off the pedestal and making 4 fold in legs for it. Haven’t started anything yet but it looks possible as my table is screwed together. Just something to consider.

we had the cantilevered table and didn't like it. It sagged badly and wasn't level and you would bang your knees on the bracket underneath all the time. The cabinet it is attached to is also the enclosure for the out door TV. I did not try to remove that on ours. We replaced it with a drop leaf table.
I would make a deal with you but the table is in NY and I'm in SC now.
Here is what we did:

Hello, just thought I would post back on what we ended up doing. The dinette is gone and we built this to replace it. The extension drops down or comes off easily if needed. My wife did a whole thing on facebook about it with more info but I have no idea where that might be. All in all it works much better for us and seems lots of folks are doing similar projects. I do have the old table, brackets etc if anyone wants them.

Free Standing Table
Hi Mike & Jo, The modifications you did look great! I hope this works out for you. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do but I'm leaning more towards replacing my existing table with the free standing type like the one you replaced. I figure I can reinforce the wall somehow to accommodate the bracket. I finally found a bracket for sale at Treckwood RV. Thanks for sharing your modification. I wish I has someway of buy the bracket from you! Enjoy your travels!

Hi Jim,
I am new to the site and Montana's, hope I am doing this properly and if not please excuse me. Finally bought a used 2019 3121RL and love the conversion of your table. What brackets and table did you use? I am looking to put a single bed mattress below and your pics look better than converting to a booth.

Got all parts from Amazon.
Here is the table top:

Here are the brackets:

In hindsight I would get brackets al little bit longer, maybe 22". The table is 24" deep and you have to reach just a bit for the release to put it down. When I ordered them I was focused on the weight they would support not thinking of the depth. But, all in all they work very well.

Thanks for the quick reply. I like the set-up and really do not want to go with a booth. The drop leaf gives you the best of both worlds, pluss you can look out the window.
Thanks again and happy camping.

We also took our table out and added a new table top. We work from "home" so desk space that was comfortable was necessary for us.
Made a video of how we did it.
