Its not even winter yet!!!

My plans were to leave this morning, northern Ill, for Christmas in Mesa Az. My de-winterizing spot is going to be W.Memphis Ark. at the ABC campground. Departure has been set back until Friday, currently freezing temps along with freezing rain and snow all the way down into Dallas Fort Worth. It is supposed to start warming up on Friday as the front moves east. I really feel for Steve R. in Kansas, I havent seen him post today but they are supposed to get about 6 inches of snow. I will sure be glad to get out of this frozen tundra, it was 5 below here this morning.

We feel for you Bill, but it was 65 degrees this morning in Naples, Fl. We have friends in Rochelle, who keep us advised of the temperature. Really glad we are here.

It's warmed up to a balmy 8 degrees here this morning. Was -4 yesterday.

Looking forward to heading south later this month.

We are a little cooler here (31 degrees) in the Houston area than in Mission, but still a lot better than the folks further to the north.

We have been looking forward to heading South right after Christmas, but what with all the reports of cold weather south of us it sounds like the weather is better up here on the shores of Lake Superior. About 13 this morning and not snowing. Sounds like Chicago area has more snow than we do. I will have to call the daughter and see how much snow she has in Elk Grove Village. Sure hope weather gets better by the end of the month.

One thing about all this cold here in the northeast.....it gives me a chance to look forward to camping in the spring, summer and fall. In a perverse way, that's kind of good.

(26 degrees in RI and snow is falling.....)

It's currently 3, up from -3, and as drifus said we have about 10 inches of snow on the ground. We've had no liquid coming and no liquid going out since Tuesday. Worse part, we have to schlepp to the showerhouse for ALL of our "personal needs" ... that got really old, really fast.

Keep your fingers crossed ... forecast calls for 30s today and 30s and 40s for the next several days.

We were wondering how you are making it, things look bad in the Mid-West. Thought maybe you might have opted to stay with the kids till things warmed up. Weather is not bad here, but 100 miles to the north roads are iced up.

Well I am now going to stop complaining about our "cold" weather here in Oregon. It is 36 this morning and will be 50 today, which has warmed up a bit from last week. It is sunny outside of the foggy areas. It sure beats the winters we spent in NW Indiana near Chicago!

Very weird weather pattern... a bullseye in the Central Plains, below zero. It is warmer N, S, E, and W of you guys. How did you do that??? Find out who's fault that was and ask him to leave. It's got to be a secret weather machine like they have in all those science fiction movies. Who says the US Govt wasn't responsible for Katrina/Rita???

are you sure it's not winter???? I sure shoveled enough snow today(white, cold, fluffy stuff that people who live in the north have to deal with this time of the year....for all those people in FLA)

All this lousy weather has caused us to change our plans. We have decided to win the Lottery, haul the Monty to the Florida Keys on a permanent basis, and become fulltime Parrotheads. Maybe we will head north to Key Largo if a hurricane threatens!!!
