Front cap fading help

Hi All, I purchase a 2014 High Country new in 2013. After about a year and a half the front cap has a major fading issue, I had the cap professionally detailed about 3 months ago and now the fading is already coming back. I know there have been other owners here with the same problem. With the unit out of warranty has anyone heard of Keystone correcting this problem out of warranty?
Thanks for any help.

Have the same camper, tried waxing the devil out of it many times as per instructions from new. Fade came back within weeks. took it to the dealer and complained with many posts in hand from forum boards about this on going problem so they could not denie it. Keystone finally had the dealer paint it with clear coat. This fixed the problem so now I`m a happy camper. don`t fall for the out of warranty bull stay on top of them with documents and what you tried to do to prevent this.
Nothing you would have done would have prevented this and they know it. It`s just poor quality gel coat and painting with an automotive paint and clear coat is the only remedy. If you pay to have it done your looking at $1,800 to $2,000 from what I've read. Good luck,

We have the 318RE also. I waxed the cap in March and again at the end of June. The cap fade came back fairly quickly. In mid August we noticed the cap fading was really bad. Called the dealer and the soonest they could fit us in was 9/15/15. Called Keystone(in August) and notified them of the problem and that my warranty expires 9/6. Keystone advised they would document the problem and there would not be a problem with the warranty. Dropped the High Country off today and hope it will be taken care of.

This disappointing to read. I have a 2014 HC. It is stored inside and sees about 3-4 weeks use currently. I have waxed it. So I guess when I hit the road when I retire. I will face this problem. Will be out of warranty and will either leave it or pay for clear coat. Geez got to love craftsmanship.

My friends had a clear "wrap" put on theirs after detailing. Seems like a good idea. Just had it done, time will tell. I have thought about a wrap with the logos for the front. The clear rap was a new idea I had not thought about. It works to keep cars looking new!

As I posted before had mine dealer painted. It`s been out in the full sun since then ( 6 months )with one coat of wax on it since paint. Looks like this fixed it, no fading or chalking.

My 3160 RL LE has had the back cap repainted as the dealer said the factory paint job was not good. They actually showed me where the paint did not actually make it to the window trim. They said the front was the same and needed fixed also. Of course it really needed fixing after they ran into the front cap with their forklift. This problem is still ongoing for our unit.

They claim in their brochure to have some kind of special paint on the Legacy Edition front and rear caps. Of course they also claim heated floors in the bathroom and bedroom and we all know that would really be stretching the truth.

Update. I had dropped the HC off at the dealer on 9/15/15 for the fading cap repair. Today I received a call from the dealer advising that the repair has been approved by Keystone. Due to a work backup, they estimate completion in about two weeks. Glad I winterized it before dropping it off. The good news is it will be ready for next season.

Good to hear Keystone is taking care of you. Did they say what they intended to do to correct the problem?

They are going to remove the decals, paint the cap, and then apply new decals.
