Dometic Blizzard
I know with the florida heat soon will be needing a new 15000 air for main living and its a single zone lcd dometic thermostat and were looking at the dometic blizzard, I have a brisk air 2 now and I know that the blizzard is a new model out there and wondering if any one has had any issues changing out that model to the new dometic air or has already done it.

There has been several postings concerning water entry. The blizzard does a great job pushing out cold air but reportedly has a two piece roof cover prone to leakage during rain. Don’t know if dometic has changed the design or not.

took 3 visits but finally got water from return air vents FIXED. take covers off roof air and grill and filter off return ducts. Use your phone to view up the duct and you should see all the way thru. Mine looked OK with just a look at the ends of the duct. But almost completely collapsed in the middle ( VERY LITTLE ) air getting thru. needed to insert piece of 1 inch PVC from each end and the duct opened all the way to the middle. What was happening was the unit was trying to suck air thru the duct and could NOT get enough. In doing so it was sucking air thru the drip pan drain hole not allowing the unit to drain, It sucked enough water to enter the return ducts.

Here is a service bulletin that needs to be performed to prevent leaks. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...79726-2280.pdf

Thanks Butchy. We're going to add a third and if it turns out to be a Blizzard that's good info to have.
