Crazy Thermostat

Pretty cold here in NM and we are using the furnace and have had the thermostat switch from furnace to heat pump on it's own. Any ideas why?

On ours, particularly since we have the third AC and so have two thermostats in the hallway, all you have to do is lightly brush the thermostat with your shoulder or arm as you go up or down the stairs and it will either change the function or the temp setting. A friend of Joyce's just did it yesterday coming back from the bathroom.

Known problem if yours ,of course, is the Dometic, that glows blue. Cannot remember model number. I called them and they sent me two brand new thermostats. There are several posts on here about them. Or just Goggle it. Pretty quick fix, and their customer service was great to us.

The CCC2 digital thermostat is the one that has blue light back ground...

Also..if you selected AUTO then the thermostat will select HP and / or furnace automatically on it’s on as the temp requirement load demands.

Normal operation and nothing wrong with unit...
