Provo Utah to Arches Natl Park

Would anyone take rt 6 as a short cut to Arches Natl Park. Or stay on the interstate ....have never driven out west in those mountains but planning a 5 month trip....will end up in quartzsite before heading home on a southern route

We pulled a 3400RL from Moab thru Provo on I-70 and highway 6 with no problems. In the Rand McNally Motor Carrier's atlas that road is highlighted as a designated route for vehicles with STAA-authorized dimensions. It's a nice drive and we had no issues.

If it interests you at all, there's a Cabela's in Lehi just north of Provo. Easy to navigate in that area too and they have spaces for RVs. When we plan a trip we scope out any Cabela's for a tub of pretzels and other snacks (and a bargain or two). We enjoy seeing the different themed stores. Our first and most liked store, because of the friendiest staff, was in Mitchell, SD. We'll see you in July at Sevierville.

Cabalas is buying up a lot ranches in Montana for their clients to hunt on. We used to deal with David Wikens, Wikens Ranch. They bought him out.
