Back from our maiden voyage

Got back yesterday from the long weekend and what can I say about our new trailer other than WOW!! Other than backing it into the site on Friday and me having a brain fart on hooking it up on Monday (Note to self, flip up locking clip before trying to hook up) we can't say enough good things about it!! Friends next door to us were jealous

Can't wait to go again---wife is already making plans for the 4th of July weekend

Sweet! Where did ya go? I see you're in Orygun...we are heading that way in July then to Washington. Love the Northwest!

Fort Stevens State Park near Astoria. Tons of bike/walking trails, historical sights to see, military re-enactments and that is just inside the confines of the park. Town of Astoria has alot to see also.

Sounds great...never been to that part of the state before. My Dad lives down in Roseburg so we have spent a lot of time around that area.
Ya, Astoria sounds very interesting...recently watched the Lewis and Clark video by Ken Burns. Check it out if you haven't seen it.
Glad you had a good time on your first trip!

Ed and Rebecca,
I am glad to hear you had an enjoyable outing. We've stayed in the Ft. Stevens park. It is nice and lots of stuff to do. Loved the reenactment that was going on when we were there. Also enjoyed the museum. Anyway glad it worked for you.

I especially enjoyed the tale of hooking up! Just so you won't feel lonely I'll admit to doing the same thing! It was the first time I was hooking it up by myself and man o man did I work hard at getting that pin into the hitch! It's a wonder I didn't break something. As it was I bent the heck out of that little latch! Thanks for sharing.

Will you be attending the 7Feathers event? I'm too lazy to go look at list!

Keep on enjoying. Dennis

Dennis, unfortunately son #2 graduates from high school that Thursday and we are entertaining relatives from out of the area. We will have to try and make next years event though.

All of the information about the upcoming rally at 7 Feathers is located here:
http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=119

Two topics that are probably most important are the "Registration and Attendees"
http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39669
and the "Schedule of Events"
http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44480

There was another member who inquired about attending and those postings are there too. There is no fee to attend, all you have to do is sign-up for the various events if you are interested (so we have a body count).

Since the registration for space at 7 Feathers was done some time ago, I am not sure how you can reserve a spot. I suspect if you call 7 Feathers and tell them you would like to be with the Montana group they will know where to put you.

You might email the wagon master Rich (Papabeav) so he can ensure we create name tags for you.

We look forward to meeting you.

Glad it was without mishap, and happy for you. It is a nice way to get away from it all in style.
