Trailer Height Question

We have a new Montana 3100RL on order. Does anyone know the actual height of a Keystone Montana 3100RL that has the 2nd air conditioner in the bedroom? We have a shop being built and we're concerned about whether or not the camper will go through the door. We've gotten different answers and don't know what is right.

onekla,
The official answer with JUST the on AC on the middle or rear of the rig would be 12'9" but with the additional AC on the bedroom it is probably a bit higher. However the height will also be a bit dependent on your tow vehicle. To get the exact height you really need to be hooked to your TV and then do an actual measurement from the highest point on your rig. And you do want the thing to fit into that new shop! Good luck and congratulations on your new Montana. Happy Trails, Dennis.

When I built my barn, I installed a 14' X 14' door.

a regular (not low profile) AC adds 12 inches to whatever the current height is.

We initially placed an order for a 3582 with a second standard AC unit. After checking with Keystone, our dealer told us without the 2nd AC we would be at 12'9". With the 2nd standard AC we would be at 13'7". That is without allowing for G rated tires or 4X suspension. We opted to cancel the 2nd AC and shop for a low profile unit once we take delivery. The low profile "should" bring us to 13'4". We opted for the extra 3 inches. Yep... 14ft door.

We have the Penguin 13.5K as our 2nd AC and it's 9 inches so you save a few inches and it works good. We got a ducted model so it feeds into the ceiling ducts and is zone 2 on our CCC, but if you open the Quick Cool vent on it you can store meat in the bedroom. LOL

I'm currently having a building put up for the Monte and other items out at the farm and we are installing a 14'X 14' door on each end of the building and should have no problem getting in and out with that size door. Unfortunately, my barn will not be as fancy as Jim's!
