Sewer Boom

I would like to remove the black hose on the sewer boom and cap the end and just use it as a sewer hose storage. Any suggests on what kind of cap I could use. Thanks in advance.

billc1949,

May I ask why you want to do this? There are a number of modifications that various members have made to make the boom more user-friendly.

We use the boom strictly as a connection point at the end for our Sewer Solution. We put a gate valve on the end and cap it when we leave. For additional sewer hose storage, we added one of those 4' storage tubes from Camping World by screwing it to the frame. We also cut a square hole in the rear side of our trailer (near the water inlet) and mounted a plastic door. We painted it to match the rest of the trailer and we store our SS hoses in there.

Here is the modification I copied, been using it for over 2 years without a problem. I did install and additional mount and gate valve. Most of the time I just swing it out, pull out about 5' of hose and connect to the drain. Do a search on "sewer boom" is you need more opinions.
