Have used the Pressure Pro System going on the 7th year. Wouldn't pull a 5th wheel without the system. PPS has save us on two different times (cracked Aluminum wheels). After a major tire failure I think you will add the Pressure Pro System. Last 5th wheel I seen that had a blown tire the damage was $4,500 and two week stay in hotel, they were full timing... Good Luck with your decision. Happy Trails...
P.S. I don't recomend many gadgets but the Pressure Pro system is well worth the investment....

We got the Pressure Pro on the recommendation of a friend--he is still a friend--the Pressure Pro saved our bacon about 4 times in the past 5 years. Basically--get something--driving without monitoring your trailer tires is asking for the big problem. There seems to be a better selection of units as compared to 5 years ago.

We have a Pressure Pro. Every time I have had a tire problem, the Pressure Pro caught it before the tire blew up and caused damage to the trailer. It is money well spent. The first time you catch a tire before it does trailer damage the TPMS will pay for itself. A TPMS should be standard equipment.

We have the TST. Mounted the unit with velcro on the dash out of the way. First trip we were driving along and had the unit go from 100 lbs to 78. Then it went to 65. Pulled over and the tire had about an 8 inch slit in it. We were not scheduled for fuel and the alarm was going off before I got stopped. This allowed us to get safely off before the tire blew. We used the temperature test before that. this saved us damage.

After their presentation at the Fall Rally, I talked with Tredit about the TPMS system they referenced during the brief. It is manufactured by Valor. Dave is correct that the sensor is attached to the inside of the rim with a band. Tredit told me it is the only system on the market that accurately measures inside tire temps. I am also in the market for a TPMS and really appreciate all the replies to this thread.

Although the system is a bit more expensive we opted to go with the Pressure Pro. We've only used it a couple of trips but it has worked great so far. I love having the ability to check the tires without using a gauge on each tire. I have a bad back and just checking the tires the regular way is very painful and difficult.
On our first trip the power plug went bad. I called the folks we got the unit from and they shipped me a replacement immediately. I really appreciate having someone in the states to call and talk with when we have a question. Researching the battery issue we found that they seem to last about 5 to 8 years or so. This is probably longer than we'll be RVing so it is not a major concern. Hopefully if we do need replacement batteries the price will have come down some. Good luck. Dennis

I have Pressure Pro. On our way home from Goshen the system indicated low pressure on one of the tires. Seems I did not tighten the sending unit when I checked the pressure before leaving. This is the second time the system has alerted me to low pressure in the past three years. I would not be without a tire pressure monitoring system. The choice is a personal one.
