what's new for 2012

Does anyone know of what changes will be in effect for the 2012 models?
New features or options?
I'm especially interested in the 3150.
Thanx in advance . .

Our 3150 came off the 2012 line. We compared it to the 2011 and the only real differences seemed to be a different couch, removable tables on each end, the electric ceiling lights were different, and the lights over the bathroom sink and a few others. Mostly cosmetic things. Heavier shocks on storage doors - which was a big problem as they ripped the screws right out of the doors - so I'm thinking that was not an improvement. Oh yea - still delivering with China Bomb tires.

Come down to the Goshen Fall Rally and join us in the tour of the assembly line at the factory. We see what is new for the next year and also get to sometimes view a new model coming out even before the dealers get to see them! It's a fun time and you get to meet some really great people-- sure they're great- their Montana owners!

Think you will find it may have an arched ceiling. Not certain how that may affect the R-value, but my guess would be negative. Having an arched ceiling would allow more heat (in cooler weather) to be higher than down where you want it the heat. I suspect it increases the overall air volume in the unit. That was the big difference I saw at the RV show verus our 2011 3150RL. By the way we do have it for sale.

Have to ask - why are you selling such a new rig? Problems or other non-quality/performance related issues.

Last year at the Rally there was a lot of buzz about a new insulating material being used, supposed to increase the R values. They showed it to us and explained it, tossing about a lot of numbers and facts. My ole memory ain't what it used to be, but, I think that that new stuff is in the ceilings with the arched roof/ceilings.

I have not looked, but am guessing that the brochures for the 12 are not available on the Keystone site??

If you are interested in the 3150 you might also want to look at the new 3100.

I looked at the 3100rl floor plan and we seem to like the 3150 better. Placement of the dining table seems more out of the way.
I thought the 2011 model had an arched ceiling ? I'm not sure why the higher ceiling is that big of a deal. Believe me, ceiling height has never been a problem for me. Unnecessary air volume is just more to heat and cool. Are the new lights LED ? Goshen Rally might be a good idea. When will the 2012 models be out. Should be soon I would guess. Thanx to all for the info so far.

binkyk...the end of the 2011 models and 2012 models have the archred ceilings. The good thing about the arched ceiling is it gives you four extra inches of headroom in the bedroom. Being 6'5", my head just barely scraped the ceiling in the earlier 2011 models, with the arch, no where near touching now!

The other changes were cosmetic...cabinet handles changed, window treatments changed, new couch with cup holders and two removeable trays, wall light fixtures, bathroom vanity light fixture, different convection microwave oven brand. I might be forgetting a few small things.

Hope this isn't going to be a by-product of the arched ceiling, but we looked at one with the arched ceiling the other day ... 3 of the seam strips were already separating at the seams between the ceiling sheet material.

Tanner1070 .... You are 6'5" . .. I'm 5'8". We obviously have a different outlook on taller ceilings.
Thanks for the info though.
