DISH net?

Does anyone use DISHnet for internet while long term traveling in RV? How does it work for you? Pros/cons?

I live in my rig about 7 months a year and have a Dish Traveler system. I have a hopper and a Joye so I can record 8 channels at a time. When I move one call to Dish and I have my local channels.

I don't believe that DishNet is available for RV's or any non-permanent structure. My information is several years old so do double check.

We had Dish net for 2 diferent winters in Az. It worked fine. We were happy with it. To be able to have Dish net in a RV you have to be in one spot for a longer time. We were park hosts in a State Park for 5 months. They have to send a tech. out to install and aim it.

We looked into it since we have two home bases, but it wouldn't work for us when we are traveling so it's not for us.

We use dish on the road. We have the pathway x1 and two VIP receivers. It's all auto for the most part. We use pay as you go.we call 1800 get dish and tell them what zip code were in. Turn tv on and receiver. Go to menu, setup installation, point dish and follow the prompts. The pathway and others are auto antennasso you don't need to adjust them. I do set the receiver to point South via a compass..the receivers are vip211z...

The BAD.... THE CUSTOMER SERVICE SUX BIGTIME!. A recording for 3 to 5 minutes of prompts, and buttons. Awful foreign accent workers... they should pay us to listen to that! Blatant abuse..

We have dish net at home and it works about 25% of the time, system is 18 months old!! Their customer Service is the worlds worst! As soon as our contract is up we are getting rid of it.

Dish for TV is great, just don't know about the internet, which would have to be a different dish antenna, but not available for a mobile rig. We use an AT&T hotspot for internet.

We have had Dish for TV in our S&B for 6 years and in the 5er for the past two. Overall happy experience with minimal issues. We will be going FT very soon but will definitely keep Dish and Hopper DVR in the 5er. Dish satellite internet is not suitable for our needs.
