Front Living Floorplans - again
After an earlier discussion about the 3750RL and 3850RL floorplans being listed as "stock only" on the Keystone site and assuming it meant the demise of those floorplans, a quick google search shows many dealers advertising 2015 3750FL and 2015 3850FL models on their lots and ready to sell.
What gives?

Bill,talking to my dealer friend, he said, that these trailers really are not like a car, can be licensed new as either a 2014 or 2015. No cut in date for the transition. So all the one sitting on the lots are now 2015's, if they so choose, or leave them as 2014 for marketing purposes, such as clearance, end of the year season sales. I know and you know that the Mountaineer, is not going to be here in 2015, but I have a 2015 Mountaineer, title says so :-)

The trailers come to the lot with a title from the factory stating the date mfg. If it comes to the dealer as a 14, it cannot be sold as a 15. If the dealer sells you a 14 as a 15, I'd look for another dealer. We cannot sell them but only as the year from the factory.

If they are on a dealer's lot aren't they "stock units"?

Dealers receive a certificate from the manufacturer with he year model on it and the state transfer that to the title. They definitely have a year model set by manufacturer. You might find a 13, 14, or 15, new, in stock. They are still sold as new, never titled units. The warranty begins at date of sale.

Keep in mind though that Keystone has been producing 2015's since probably Mid April 2014. Our 3610 was ordered in March 2014 and came off the line the middle of April labelled a 2015. There will be a ton of discontinued 2015 floor models by now sitting on dealer lots with no option of ordering any different specs of that floor plan from the factory.

That's actually the way it's always been. Build date and model year can be quite different.

My '14 3150RL shows a 4/7/13 build date and bought 5/7/13 as a '14 year model. So it looks like they build almost a year early.
