Where is the water pump?

Hi all. Just got back from Camping World were we purchased the Shurflo 5.7 water pump. Now we just need to ask one stupid question. I know, there are no stupid questions here. Well here goes a no stupid question!!!! Where is the water pump in the Montana 3400RL? We read the artical in the Trailer Life about this new pump. Since Kathi hates the sound and no water presure, we decided to change it out for the newest one from Shurflo. Would like a little help please. Would like to get it done tomorrow as we are leaving for the Colorado River Friday morning. Thanks

I don't know about the 3400 but in my 3295 it is behind a panel on the driver side of the trailer in the storage compartment. The water pump and the furnace are both in this area. Four screws holding on panel about 20x24". Hope this helps. Since this was a "no stupid question" here is a "no stupid answer", open the compartment doors and turn the pump on and listen.

On our 3575 it is under the row of drawers in the kitchen. beside sink. Just pull drawer out & it is bolted to floor.

Charlie, look inside the main storage compartment on the drivers side, there is a panel on your right that is held in by I think 4 screws. Remove the panel and the water pump is behind it.

Charlie -

If you look on the outside of the kitchen island, near the floor, you will find a louvered panel held on with four screws. It is around the corner from the sink - next to the TV but near the floor. The pump is in there on the 3400RL. It is also a nice place for the rechargeable flashlight to spend a relaxing winter, but I digress. You will want to become familiar with this area before you winterize for the first time.

I was wondering what that compartment was!!! Would have never guessed it was the water pump. Thanks so much. I read Paul all these posts and we are going to be out there bright and early tomorrow (as it is suppose to be in the high 90's here) to get it installed. Thanks for all your help. I love this forum and all the nice people in here. When we went to the dealer today and ask them, no one knew where it was. I told Paul lets go home and I will post the question and I guarantee you that we WILL get a answer before you can click your heels 3 times!!!! (Get it, Wizard of Oz)....And sure enough you people came threw once more. Thanks again Kathi

Gene, What year is your 3575RL? I have the 2002 and my pump is under the pantry next to the refrigerator...

Ok, found the water pump on Thursday May 19th. We were to leave for the Colorado River Friday morning. Didn't happen. We spent all day trying to get the water pump installed. Tubing to short, screws needed to be redrilled, had to go to RV store to get longer tubing. Got home, couldn't get this (suppose to be 1 hour installation) pump in. Friday morning, at it again. Now we are not stupid, we have done these kind of things before. We tried and tried. No Go!!! So I told Paul, pack it up, we will use bottled water, use my brothers outdoor bathroom and just have to make do. We did survive the weekend. Now tomorrow Paul said he will finish it. RIGHT! Not me, I am calling someone and having it installed. In this case it will pay to give the aggravation to someone else. Pay them and the head will soon be over. I hope. Thanks for all your help though.

I could be wrong, but me thinks that you are a bit perturbed about this water pump up grade. My experience leads me to believe that we grossly under estimate the amount of time it will take for a "simple" task. So I would say you are probably right on schedule.

Ok, I am messin' with you. Truly sorry you are having such difficulty and hope solutions come soon. Be sure to let us know how it resolves. Some of us may be right behind you.
