Black tank flusher

Is it normal for there to be pressure left when you go to disconnedt the hose? The flusher works well, it just seems that all pressure should be bled out by the time I disconnect.

The water hose is full of water when you unhook it- I always unhook at the faucet first so the hose will drain while I unhook and roll the hose for storage- JMHO- Don

Not sure, but think you might be dealing with water pressure built up between the nozzle input and a back flow restricter????

There must be a restriction someplace for the pressure to remain.
If I were to remove the panel in the storage bay would the back flow
preventer be easy to identify? Or would this be dealt with by dropping part of the belly pan?
Thank you for your assistance.

Michael and Camilla Robinson are spot on. The back flow preventer is in the system to keep black water/waste from backing up into the public water system. When you shut the water off you are going to have close to what the water pressure is out of the spigot until you relieve that pressure. I use the same procedure DonandJudy use. Not sure about your model but the only two places I have heard Keystone places the valve is either under the lavratory sink or in the wall behind the shower faucet. Jim

My Monty has some pressure when I disconnect the hose. I just loosen the fitting and let the water drain some before I completely remove the hose. Remember it's the pressure that properly cleans the tank.

When I disconnect the hose from the flush connection in the convenience centre, water flows back out. I found that the check valve is not located at the connection but seems to be located somewhere upstream in the line. Don't know why as the check valve on the city water supply is located right at the connection point in the convenience centre.

There is always pressure left on mine. When I unscrew the hose at the faucet, I have to do it slowly and let it spray out a little until the pressure drains off.

I dont have any pressure in my flush lines at all. I do have a little of water thats left in the line to drain. but once it has reached the lowest part of the supply line it stops flowing. I would think that if you have water pressure after you turn the water off the back flow device is not working properly allowing it to vent, or your spray nozel has some hole blocked allowing the water to stay pressurised then it pops when unpluged. but it still goes back to the back flow device not working properly.
I also have a diferent system 2004 compaired to the newer Montanas and the master control system.
