Update on my Pin Box
In a previous post where pin box (or frame) flex was discussed I said I would see what Keystone had to say while at the Fall Rally.
My problem was two-fold. First, there seemed to me to be an excessive amount of movement between the pin box and the camper when going over dips in the road. Second, the pin box had been level with the frame of the unit whan I picked it up new in October of last year. When I returned from Florida I noticed that it was now slanted high in the front about 3/4 of a bubble. This was causing the Mor-Ryd pin to have constant pressure to the rear and making it dificult to unhitch.
Keystone looked at the pin box and made me an appointment for the next morning to bring it in. They opened the front end and examined the frame and found nothing wrong. All welds were good and nothing was bent or twisted. They also conducted flex tests and stated the flex I was seeing was normal. They then called a Lippert rep. to look at it also. He confirmed what Keystone was saying but he stated there was a problem with the pin being so far out of level. After a thorough examination he stated the problem was a sloppy welding job by one of their people, and that the mounting holes were slightly elongated. We took the unit to the Lippert factory and they repaired the problem by redrilling the mounting holes slightly larger and installing larger mounting bolts which made the hitch level. We drove 775 miles home from the rally over some pretty bumpy roads at times and everything is fine. Both Keystone and Lippert were very responsive to my situation, were honest in their response and corrected the problem promptly. I was very impressed with their attitude, and couldn't be happier with their customer service.

Another good ending to a story that shouldn't have happened to begin with. I guess we are all human after all.....

Glad to hear that everything worked out ok.
It’s also good to hear those kind of service reports as well.

Good thing you were near the factories. I can't imagine some dealer representative being as thorough and accomodating.
That's great news it's been taken care of. Enjoy the ride.
(So how much weight does all that snow add to your trailer? )

Lee, you didn't travel on I86 in the Southern Tier did you?? Because we live South of Rochester, I86 is the shortest route for us, but the section near Salamaca will jar your filling loose. Glad everything worked out for you. See you down the road, as we're headed South at the end of the month.

Art, Don't know the weight. Just thought I'd post that picture to add a little contrast to all the monotonous sunny summer pictures.
Michele, Didn't use I86. Used I90 past Rochester. There were more than enough bumps in the construction zones. Stayed at Southwoods RV Park in Byron, NY on Wed. and Thurs. nights. We just had to do a tour of LeRoy, NY, home of Jello, since that is my actual name. Southwoods was the location of the 2009 Eastern MOC Rally. Very nice place with very nice people.

Guess we'll have to check out Southwoods, must be less than an hour from our stick house. Have to put it on our "To Do List" for next summer. Safe travels
