Marooned

We headed out from central Texas to Southern Louisiana to help celebrate my step-Mother's 99th birthday. This was also to serve as a shakedown cruise after 18 months of Monty's setting up and prior to the Branson shindig. Well, Dianna took a spill at our first fuel stop. We wrapped her contusions and continued on our way to our first stop in Vinton, LA.

It became apparent that she needed emergency care. Off to the Hospital ER in Sulfur, LA. The short of it is that she experienced a sore chest and a broken left foot. Trip interrupted by damage to the owner, not the Montana. Even though we are marooned in Vinton, we are at home in Monty and will move on when Dianna feels like traveling. Monty has performed very well.

Sorry to hear you got hurt. In the meantime, ENJOY that Montana and enjoy not HAVING to do anything, go anywhere or answer to anyone. Healing will come, probably a lot faster than if it happened to the MOnty.

Stiles, you stated it was a "shake down" cruise. Next time let Dianna know what "shake down" means (bad humor).
Dianna please get well soon! I know a cast can be a pain but you won't have it long.
Pam & I each wore them because of an accident in 1984 for over 10 months. Motorcycles and cars don't mix well.
Take care enjoy the rest of your (uneventful) trip,

Chuck

Dianna, We pray for a speedy recovery. Isn't it reassuring to know that no matter where you are, you can recover at home in the Monty.

Dianna, we are sorry to hear about your spill and wish you a speedy recovery. Wished we could give you a hand, although after reading all of Stiles great advice in the past, I think you are in capable hands. I guess if misfortune has to happen on your trip, it is best to get it out of the way at the beginning so the rest of your time will be one of your greatest trips ever. Take care of yourselves.
