The things you find under the bed..........

My project for this afternoon was to expand on the storage capability under the bed, Sue custom fitted sheets for our bed, and installed a memory foam mattress topper-pad-dealie.
I took the plywood cover, cut it down and made a box, found some old truck carpet and covered it up.
I'll go back in Tinypics and get the photo of the ram. I tried to name the file 'Under bed ram cover' I don't know what they thought it was, but denied the file name and I had to rename the file. Computer stuff baffles me sometimes, Ozzie helped me get Two pictures on the same line.
Here is the cover.

Good idea, I'm going to go watch Tv, Sue is making Pizza, yummy!
Her folks live up there in your neck of the woods by Walker, if we come up to see them, I'll swing by and we can fix stuff!
Take care, Ozz

Walker is 30 minutes away from our lake property. It's one of our favorite towns (county seat)to go knocking around when we have a long weekend up there. My grandparents used to live in Hackensack (long departed) and used to own a hotel in Walker.
Talk about a small world - we'll be up that way Labor weekend.

Sue's folks work at the Co-op in Hackensack part time, way retired, Sue's pop retired from TWA down here in K.C., they love it up there.
You are right about a small world! They said it hasn't rained up there since May, hotter than the gates of He@#, don't suppose you can say where that is...
Speaking of small world, that proves you have to be good when you are out of the house, we have run into so many people we know far, far away. It's so much fun doing this RV stuff.
See you.

We did much the same thing under the bed last week, Gained some extra storage space for seldom used items. That is when we found that one of the bed wheels had never been installed.

Rich,
You are the one that gave me the idea to do the job, thanks, also, was it you that put the roller on the floor, rolling the bed frame? That was a good idea.

We were in Walker last week and it is very dry. The fishing had dried up, too, or at least the catching did.

Judy,
Yes, Sue's dad said the dock looks weird sitting so high from the water.
I guess it's beautiful country up there, haven't made it there yet.

I had another Idea about the under bed, under plywood space usage. I was going to cut a hole in the plywood a little larger than the safe and mount it under the hole so you could access the safe only when the slide out is in the closed position. If one is a full timer it would be totally unaccessible to others when set up. I would make a cover for the hole to keep things from dropping down. M

Maybe you have a better idea as you can store more "stuff" like tools and spare parts.

Dick,
Good idea!
The use of the space is dependent on how much 'stuff' you need to carry, I like the option of having more room, if I choose to use it.
I am troubled by the lock box, the bad guys know the 'good stuff' is in there, and they probably know where it is. My curved wrecking bar would make short work of the box removal. This adds merit to your idea.
I doubt I will be using mine, if so, it will not be under the bed.

We removed the lock box and are looking for a better place to put it. There is not that much room under the bed as it is,We did as others have done just cut the plywood about 3 feet back installed a couple of hinges and a handle and use the space under there for little used items. There is so much wasted space in these campers which allows us to have fun making use of it.

I think a lot of people put some old junk in the lock box and have another "special" spot for the good stuff.
