HD Tracker Plus signal meter

Well, I am impressed. I know that a lot of us can just plop down their Slimline HD dish and "bingo" there's the signal. I'm not one of those. So I got the Align-a-Site and attached it to my dish when I went to HD on Directv. I noted that some of us have the "BirdDog" meter, but it is pricey. So I went looking and found a relatively new meter by Orbital called the "Tracker Plus". It was designed specifically for Directv and Dish anteneas. I have a tripod from TV4RV. I just tried the meter out in my front yard. Wow!!! Without exageration, 6 mins from begining of setup of the tripod to maximum strength signal. I setup the tripod for a vertical mounting post, put on the dish with the "Align-a-Site" set to the right numbers, make a few minor adjustments to maximize the signal on the Tracker Plus and I'm done. Not too bad for $142 for the meter.(money well spent for me). I think the price is now up to $162 until the end of Sept then goes to $229 (or so they say). I got mine from SatPro for anyone interested (no I don't have any investment in SatPro or Orbital...just sharing)...Peace.

I agree. I have the same "handicap" when it comes to finding the satellites. My Tracker Light is amazing.
