Sealant around windows and compartment Drs

My 2001 Montana needs some new sealant around the windows, compartment doors and corner mouldings. It appears to have some kind
of white silicone which rubs off easily. What should I use to reseal?

I would go with the same White silicone caulk. There is an art to applying it, use it sparingly and feather the edges out.

I used the clear on our unit. Whatever you use, I would get a high quality that is resistant to mildew. The OEM sealant around our hatches and trim apparently was not mildew resistant, and has black spots in it. And it doesn't come off easily.

I went to a marine store and got caulking that they use on boats. Works very well.

clear or white picks up the dirt in the air ,, i go with the marine store high price but less head ache .try a tube if its no better use clear silocone but cut the tip very small , not that its smeared all over on your finger as it will get black john

I got this tip from a guy in the yacht building indusrty. Put couple drops of dishwashing soap in cup of water. Keep fingers wet with this mix and you can smooth and flare the silcone very easy. They use a spray bottle with this mix when silconezing arond deck fittings with silcone.

As noted, marine grade caulk/silcone is best. If it is good enough to use under water, a little rain on the Montana won't phase it.
