Tracfones

I bought a Tracfone this weekend for using in the States so we don't have to pay roaming charges of $1.40 a minute and I can have them setup a Canadian phone number in Canada to forward calls so friends and relatives do not have to pay International long distance charges. This extremely cheap compared to Canadian Cellphone rates.

I`ve had a Tracfone for 3 years now and it`s been great. I have it for emergencies mostly as I`m not one to be tethered to a phone. I extend my time for $5.25 a month then I don`t lose the minutes.

I bought it at Walmart in Bellingham, Washington. Their website is:

We use it so our family can get in touch with us as we camp across the line at Ferndale, Washington at one of the campsites in our system or when we go farther a field. They only work while you in the states but you can call to Canada and Mexico or 60 other countries around the world for local prices.
