Washington DC area campground
We are looking for a place to stay for one month, April 28-May 28. Any recommendations? We want full hook-ups, but would prefer not to break the bank. Is there any such animal?

This will be expensive but we have stayed several times at the KOA in Fredericksburg, Virginia. We are staying there again this fall but not for a month. There is transportation to DC by rail from there.

We have stayed at cherry hill in college park md. Take the metro in to dc and free shuttle to metro. But that was 10 years ago. Never moved the truck for a week.

Agree, nice park. 60-70 minutes out of DC non rush hour traffic. No weekly or monthly rates our last stay. Another park in Stafford VA, 30 minutes up the road, but usually full of seasonals so sites not always available and not as nice but cheaper. Aquia Harbour exit off I95. County park off 234 further north near Quantico MCB but length limitation of 30 feet

Love Pohick Bay Regional Park. Stayed here 2 past years.
Have stayed at Cherry Hill...nice but packed like sardines. Trees and nature at Pohick Bay.

Thanks, everybody. I had actually checked out all of these. I guess we will just have to break the bank . . . Nobody in the area wants to offer weekly or monthly rates. $1500-$2000/month is sure hard to swallow.
