Good Sam ERS

For the users of Good Sam Emergency Road Service insurance I would appreciate knowing your opinions both good and bad of using this insurance for full timers. Thanks in advance

We have used Good Sam ERS for many years and would not be without it. It has covered everything from a lockout to fixing flats to last year towing the TV and Montana together to a campground in Arizona from a mountain top when the turbo hose broke on the TV. They then towed the truck to a repair facility. The people on the telephone are always friendly and helpful.

Always had excellent and responsive service from them. If there is a wait, they also keep you updated.

We have had nothing but good service from them. I’ve used them when it was questionable and after telling them the situation they went ahead and covered the expenses. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere towing the camper without their coverage.

We had Camping World's ERS which is the sister of Good Sam's ERS. They're both owned by Affinity and both give good service. We used or CW ERS several times and were satisfied with their service. Have no doubt that Good Sam is just as good; or maybe it's better, I don't know.

Won't leave home without them. Have used it a few times and had good results. It covers any vehicle you own.

Thank all of you for your responses to this thread, it appears everyone using GS is satisfied. Rather than starting a new thread, do any of you have a emergency medical evacuation insurance and if so who with and your thoughts? Thanks again

I think you will get a better response if you do start a new topic. This one is about road service. Folks with Medical insurance coverage will not be paying attention to it. Folks seem to read postings based on their Title.

According to my ID card we've had Good Sam ERS for 16 years. We've used it several times. I like GS ERS because they specialize in RV's and send the proper equipment. Those specializing in regular cars may send a tow truck insufficient for your rig. When needed, they sent two trucks, one for our truck and one for our Montana.

In each case they checked back to make sure the service arrived as scheduled and that we were satisfied.

Just a side note, it appears that CW ERS has merged with GS ERS. We checked and now it is all GS. Camping World sells it, of course, as they are part of the parent company. We just renewed with GS through CW, but downgraded a bit to the "standard" ERS instead of the Platnium. No advantage for us to pay the extra. Got it through CW, and got an extra $10 off for being a "President's Club" member! Hey, that will get me two extra gallons of fuel, for an extra 3 miles down the road!

Have had it several years and used it twice. They did an excellent job both times. Just renewed and made a mistake by picking CVP plan. The young lady that was processing my renewal noticed that I had always had ERS plan and called me to make sure that I wanted to change plans. That was nice of her. She could have just processed my payment and I wouldn't have had my rv covered. Little things like that is what makes a company great in my eyes. Good customer service.
