Rich, if Don is talking about the Golden Age Pass, they are available at any COE campground and easily obtained. Or are you talking about something else? They are available for $10.00 if you're over 62. It saves you half off the usual camping fees. You must be talking about something else.
Yes it is the Golden Age Pass that I am refering to.

Doug we will be in the BLM land Long term area. now that we have our golden age card from the foristry dept we will get in free and they have dump stations and water for there users it is on the east side of O-site. we have not set a date or time yet I will know when the wife tells me we are going. if you know what I mean.
We'll be there for the RV show and hope to meet you all.

We've always camped at Rice Ranch just across the street from Tyson Wells but now that the land has been sold we need to find another place to camp. Where is the long term BLM land that you use? It would be nice to have dump stations and water nearby.

The group that was there last year used a site off Plomosa Rd. There is no dump or water there but we did call the honey wagon to dump us and the water truck to fill us back up. It cost $35.00 per rig for the dumping and refilling. The nice thing was we did not have to hook up and take our rig to the site to dump it, the truck came to the Montana.

Mel & Joy, Looking forward to seeing you. Sorry you have to go to sea, Mel. Hope it goes well.

Dennis & Leona, looking forward to seeing you too! I thought it might be April or May before we'd get together again.

Same for everyone else, those who were there last year and new people to join this year. It should be fun!

Travel safely everyone!

Mel and Joy, we are looking forward to seeing you again.

Dennis & Leona, we will keep an open space for you. I am not sure yet as to how many golfers we will have but I know myself, Michael and Renee golf. Maybe others will want to so they will need to let you know.

Sharon, will do. I guess it is a good question to ask who will be parking with the group on Plomosa Rd? I will keep track and try to make sure we have a big enough area to park all the MOC'ers together.

Doug,
We'd like to join in also! So, save us a spot. I've never been to Q-site before, so we are looking for an adventure! I can't say for sure, but we will probably show up on the 19th or the 20th. See ya there!

Those of you going to the Quartzsite area this coming winter might be interested in this weather link.

Quartzsite weather

For those of you who have your GPS units installed and working: The following location was where we were located in January of 2006.

January 2007 on Quartzsite on Plomosa Road.

Latitude = 33.45.2717
Longitude = 114.12.5283

That would put us very close to where we were last year. We may need a larger space since we have a few more rigs coming this year. But it will be somewhere very close to the above co-ordinates. That is provided there isn't a large crowd already there! Thankfully there is enough land to go around for everyone! And it's FREE.

And it's dirty, dusty, windy, crowded, sometimes very hot and sometimes very cold (nights) but...... It's ALWAYS fun.

Thanks Dennis for making golf plans and thanks Doug for covering us since we haven't been on the Forum lately! We will definitely try to make room for our clubs now (we weren't going to take them). I think we took them last year and didn't play once, but then it was much to hard to get on a course.
