We stayed there a couple of years ago. Beautiful park. Loved the way the deer would come out every morning and late evening. Must have been at least 50 or more. Hope you enjoy your stay.

We plan to be in Houston area in January sometime. Please tell Polly Sandy says "Hey".
Enjoy your workkamping experience, sounds like a good place to be.

If you are looking north of Houston, we stayed at the Conroe KOA a couple of years ago...there were a lot of people staying there associated with the hurricane aftermath...based on what we saw then, would not recommend staying there unless they have cleaned up their act.

This is our first time workamping. We tried to get a position last winter but started too late and limited our search too much. We got started late this year too, but found this job by contacting Texas Parks and Wildlife Department directly. We ended up getting two offers at different parks within two weeks. We would have preferred to be a little further south, but it gets us some experience to include on our resume in the future.
Best of luck to you.
