fuel prices

Ok, its that time of year again. Fuel prices are skyrocketing just in time for the summer travelers. I would like to know what you are paying for diesel. Last time I filled up it was 2.09 a gallon here in Tempe Az. Hope we can get info like we had last summer. Thanks

On our All Forums page, down at the bottom, there are links to two fuel pricing web pages, here they are:

http://autos.msn.com/everyday/gassta...?zip=&src=Netx

http://gasprices.mapquest.com/

Have not used in a while, just supplying the links again.

Safe rides!! May you find the lowest fuel prices everywhere you stop!

I started out from Texas City, TX at $2.09 and just two days ago I paid $2.65.
The news reported today that in the past two weeks prices have risen $.40 in time for summer travel.

Sucks big time and is all based on greed as far as I'm concerned.

As the price of a barrel of oil escalates again, the price at the pump will climb. I remember the spring of 2008 when we crossed the northern States and paid a high of $4.19 a gallon in some remote areas.
If we compare oil to Natural gas, it is at a low now and in the $3.00 per Gj range (low demand), so it would be nice to hedge and buy up volumes , store it till winter, then sell it at $7.00 per Gj. Good old supply and demand. Simply there is a higher demand for diesel and gas now, resulting in an increase for supply at the well head. Very little storage sitting around when you compare consumption of oil per day in the U.S. and Canada espescially if demand climbed to the early years high..

Left Dallas May 26th paying $2.10. Paid about $2.15 in Amarillo next day. Paid $2.39 in Rawlings MT on 5/31. Highest so far in Yellowstone National Park $2.79 on 6/07 (Only bought enough to get me out to the Interstate). West of Livingston MT $2.39 on 6/07. $2.39 in Billings, MT on 6/10.

Currently at Interior, SD and I still have about 40~50 gallons. I will have to fill up one more time to make home to Dallas. With the 70g transfer tank I can carry a total of 100g. Makes it easy to shop for fuel at better prices.

Steady climbing here in Texas, $2.49. Filled up a couple of weeks ago at $1.92. Is this the inflation we are not having ?

$2.61 yesterday in Reading,PA. Was $2.59 the day before. Oil prices are in the $73 range and expected to reach $100 by 2010. China's growth, and demand is just one of the reasons this is happening. The weakening dollar is another. Very complicated. All to say, rving will be more expensive this year.

Jim, Where in the Reading area is the lowest price on diesel?? Will be in New Philly tomorrow (Sat). When we were down in late May the best price was at the Sheetz on 61 just outside of Schuylkill Haven. $2.29 for diesel. Every where I went in Reading was higher.

I just paid 2.64 in Messena and it's 2.67 in Ogdensburg, NY

Wimps all of ya... LOL.... In southern California prices START at $2.69 and I have seen as high as $3.07!

My brother and I just finished a whirlwind drive from So. Cal to Maryland and back last week (it took 9 days). Diesel started in Calif on 5/28/09 at $2.59, went as low as $2.13 in Oklahoma and $2.24 in the Maryland destination. We were in Maryland for two days and headed home. Diesel went up AN AVERAGE of 10 cents a gallon in every single state we entered on the same route back. Fortunately, my brother paid for the fuel, but it still sucks. Diesel continues to climb as we speak.

Diesel is $2.59 in mid MI. We are paying more for fuel now, than we were when oil was at this price level last year.

Whimps? In Langley, BC unleaded at $1.10 per liter. With 3.785411 liters per gallon and the dollar at $.892 who's a whimp?? I guess we all choose where we live and then pay accordingly.

$2.44 for diesel in Des Moines. Be sure to bookmark flyingj.com & petrotruckstops.com They have all their fuel prices listed for diesel throughout the country on their website. Helps when trying to make the decision on stopping for fuel or heading on to the next town for cheaper fuel.

We're in Ohio near Athens and three days ago I paid $2.399 and saw the sign at the station I filled up at today and it's reading $2.729. I filled up at a Kroger Station today and had their card and paid $2.539. We're not towing the Monte so I'm getting better mileage but this is ridiculas as to the price increases in just two or three days! I guess I'd better invest in some petroleum company stocks! The sell in September and invest in the natural gas scene!
