Tapping

HI I seem to remember something about this on the threads some time ago. I am not very good at finding past post. We are here on the Oregon Coast and for a little over a month. About a week and half ago. We start getting tapping noises around the back and side windows. The DW went out and stood back a ways and saw sparrow hanging on the window frame upside down pecking, our female Yorkie goes wild and can't stand it. Is their any thing I can do to discourges this sparrows? Thanks for the help.

A shotgun will work. If you don't want to go that way, you might try taping tin foil over the window.

Someone somewhere (I think it's Lee Valley Tools in Canada) sells re-usable plastic "spider webs" that they claim will dissuade birds from flying into windows. Maybe it will keep them from attacking them as well...?
