I'm using the IOTA DLS-55 with IQ4 accessory that makes it a 3-stage charger.

We replaced our off brand converter with an Intelli-Power with Charge Wizard by Progressive Dynamics. Both the Iota and Intelli-power are good units but make sure you get 3 stage accessory

Robb,
Like Charlie above, we have the unit by Progressive Dynamics, actually an Intelipower PD9280 which is rated for 80A. It has the "smart" charger built in with the following modes:
NORMAL - Output voltage set at 13.6 volts DC. This voltage provides good charging rates and low water usage.
BOOST MODE - If the converter senses that the battery voltage has dropped below a preset leverl the output voltrage is increaded to 14.4 volts DC to rapidly recharge the batteries.
STORAGE MODE - When the converter senses that there has been no significant battery usage for approximately 30 hours trhe output voltage is reduced to 13.2 volts DC for minimal water usage.
EQUALIZATION MODE - (subset of STORAGE MODE) When in storage mode the microprocessor automatically increases the output voltage to 14.4 volts for 15 minutes every 21 hours. This will help to reduce the buildup of sulfation on the battery plates.
This info from Progressive.

robb, that's a bit of an understatement in your signature that the Volvo is a pickup. Is that so that there will be fewer questions?
