BBQ Propane Outlet

Anyone have good advice for adding an outlet to the onboard propane system for a BBQ? I have seen "T"'s near the tank or is it better, cleaner install to add a "T"fitting in the black pipe under the frame???

I added my Tee in the black pipe that runs vertical in the door side propane compartment. If you do it this way you have to eliminate the regulator on the BBQ because this Tee location is already regulated.

You use a tee and hose at the propane tank. Here is the one I bought:
