Fresh Water Tank Lines & Pink Stuff
I am getting ready to winterize the 2013 Montana for the first time and I have a question on the water lines to and from the fresh water tank. How does the pink stuff get into them when you winterize or is this not an issue to worry about? Does opening the low point drains take care of the problem?

I used to drain the tank and then took the inlet connection off the pump and sent a blast of air down it. Like you I was not sure I needed to, but since I wasn't camping anymore and it was just taking out a few screws it made me feel better.

John regarding the line to the fresh water tank just flip the lever to fill the fresh water tank while you are running the antifreeze via the water pump. This will send antifreeze in that line. I only let it rum about 5 - 10 seconds.

We flip the fresh water tank lever to fill as well but put a blast of air to it rather than the pink stuff and then proceed to drain the fresh water tank. We do the same with the black tank flush to remove any left over water in that short line. We then proceed with the winterize lever and the pink stuff for all the other water lines including opening the low point drains till pink runs out.

Yeah!!! Thanks Steve. I got to thinking about them earlier in the week and searched about them. I found out that yes, they need to be winterized even though we don't have a washer.
I got to looking around behind the convenience center at the plumbing. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!! I think I did figure something out. There is only one waterline to the fresh water tank. It appears that they plumbed it to fill the tank from the city water connection and then to draw water from the tank when you use the pump. I disconnected it and no water ran out. I guess the air I put to it Monday did the trick.
