Willow Tree in SC

Can anyone tell me how long it will take to get from Willow Tree to Myrtle Beach in the middle of July?

My sister in law is planning a Myrtle Beach (extended) family vacation and we have booked at Willow Tree. She just emailed me because the hotel clerk at the Best Western in Myrtle Beach told her it would take us an hour in July to get to Myrtle Beach from Longs and they want us to move to a campground that is closer.

We do not like the hustle and bustle of touristy places (with the exception of Disney, but their campground is fairly peaceful) and I absolutely do not want to be packed in at Pirateland or any other high-priced, kids-all-over-the-place campground.

15 minutes to North Myrtle Beach. Depends on the destination for MB and route taken. We stay often at Willow Tree.

The problem is the Best Western guy talked her out of North Myrtle Beach. He told her that they would be bored there. They (and the rest of my husband's siblings) like action, thrill rides and crowds. We're the polar opposite. We like peace, serenity and calm.

So worst case scenario will it be an hour to MB in July? More? Less?
