Hitch Height

In a post last week I asked for the height of the king pin where I should of asked the forum for the height from the ground to the TV hitch skid plate.

Someone may answer that question. I feel the main height/distance is between the bed rail of the truck and the belly of the 5th wheel hitch area. I have heard six inches and agree that should be the minimum. If you run less you have to watch uneven terrain more.

Ideally you want the truck and trailer to be level when hooked up. I have to run nose high on the Montana because my 4x4 sits higher.

I had to adjust my truck hitch and the monty pinbox to get my best settings.

Hope this helps.
