Waldo when we stayed at Topsail state park in Destin last April we drove thru it ona rainy day just to see what it was like. Its a beauty for sure but a little pricey. The state park was half the price with paved sites and patios. The beach at both was also excellent as is Henderson state park. Jan and Feb. would be cool up there. Even in April it went down into the mid to high 40`s

Waldo, Had thier web site pulled up this morning. Just a note; Front Beach Rd, as well as Thomas Ave, are heavy in traffic this time of year as PC is the place for High School/College rites of passage. Even that said, Panama City Beach is a great place to visit.

Joe Wheeler State Park, North Alabama (Rogersville)
We just returned from visit there, nice park, campground needs a little update but we will plan another trip there. Only 6 sites don't have sewer, all sites have 30amp electrical. Bath houses are clean and well cared for. The lodge is nice and food is good. Lodge has wifi in lobby. Good golf course, nice boating/fishing facility.
Wild game, lots of deer, turkey etc etc. No cable TV and lots of trees to block your sat dish view.
