Newbies in Oregon and Washington

What are some of your favorite big rig campgrounds in WA and OR? My sweetie is retiring in June and we will be footloose and fancy free. We want to take advantage of our Montana Big Sky and need to get the plans rolling! We're from Kennewick, WA.

Also, do most of you travel alone, or with friends?

Well I can name a few I like, Blackwell Island.in Coeur da Alene is a great stop but a little busy but a handy to town. In Anacortas I stay at Pioneer Trails Resort as it is close to things we like to do when in that area. I also like Potholes State Park as it is clean, open and good fishing. Besides I am parked here till Monday doing a little fishing. Up in Wenatchee we stay at Lincoln Rock State Park or the county park in Cashmere, both are nice. Hope this helps a little and I am sure a lot of northwest folks will be online shortly to add to your list. Great.to have you in MOC and hope to see you in the future.

One of our favorites is Grayland state park just south of Westport. They have some nice pull through spots with 50amp service.

If you get a chance take a trip to Banff.

Steamboat rock state park is also nice....at times there is an abundance of geese. Good fishing.

Enjoy your travels!!

Spokane RV Resort is a nice little place about 20 miles north of Spokane. It sits right on the golf course if you are into golfing. Far enough away from town to be peaceful, but close enough to be anywhere in Spokane/Coeur D Alene within an hours drive.

We love Columbia riverfront RV park in Woodland http://www.columbiariverfrontrvpark.com/ and Suncrest resort in Moses Lake http://www.suncrestresort.com/ for private parks, and for Washington state park we like Steamboat Rock. Steamboat Rock SP is close to the Grand Coulee dam and it is fun to go a do the dam tour. We also like Blackwell Island RV park in Coeur d'Alene, ID.

We will be coming up through Oregon and Washington the first part of June for the first time, so I don't want to make any recommendations. We almost always travel alone but it works out we are meeting friends outside of San Fran for a few days. They are in the middle of a 7 month trip in their fiver and it just happen to work out that we would be in that area at the same time. We are really looking forward to seeing the Oregon coast and the state of Washington.

We just stayed at Fort Worden state park. HUGE sites, a stones throw from the water. It was good, plan to go back soon. C7 or C8 great sites, full hookups but 30 amp. They have some 50 amp sites too.

Fort Worden state park is our go to park because it is so close to home. They do have nice big sites and very close to the water. We just stayed in C8 22-24 March. But their 30A is so bad that we can't turn on many things without putting our meter in the red.

If any members show up around Reedsport or Winchester Bay, Or. Give me a shout and I will come and meet and greet. The Park I work at is Salmon Harbor RV Park the sites are very small and its only 30 amp I am told by the Manager that it's mostly booked full after May 30th. So if as I stated above I would like to meet any members if you are in the area, even Florence, Newport, Coos Bay, Bandon. Thanks

We spent the entire month of July in 2012 along the Oregon coast. All the state parks were awesome! Just take your pick.

We are here for a rally in Coos Bay this week and next - you should stop out and meet everyone! We are at Bay Point Landing Campground (very nice and clean right on the water).
