Dometic RM2652 Troubleshooting

Well moving on to my next fun item. Fridge was working when I bought trailer. Have used the camper twice since we bought it.

Basic info 2000 Montana 2950RK. Dometic RM2652

Did some basic diagnostics, found DC power and A/C power good to Unit.

Visual inspection does not show any signs of system leak.

Fuses on board good.

Thermofuse on side of Flue was popped. When I bypass thermofuse the propane burner and A/C Heater work just fine, but I don't dare leave it bypassed due to my overwhelming desire to not burn it to the ground as of yet.

Thoughts on this are clogged vent not allowing heat to escape, or other issues such as this. I don't know at what temp the burners are supposed to keep the element at.

Wondering if there is anything else I can check before I take it to the dealer. Or If there is a Service manual with Troubleshooting steps that would give me the info to do it myself.

Planning on heading to Dumont the week between Christmas and New years and would like a fridge if possible.

Go to Dometic.com and under support as you scroll down you'll see a button to get manuals. Also, at the bottom of the page you can request info by email.

Along with DQDICK's advice, I agree I wouldn't run without the thermofuse. See what the troubleshooting leads to. Perhaps you just need a new thermofuse.
