Fresh Water Hose

Has anyone found a flexible fresh water hose that does not retain a memory? Have tried a few and they want to coil and uncoil as they seem fit. Bought a Camco Premium and gets rock solid in cold and DOES retain it's own memory. It was rated, one of the best.

I have Neverkink hoses. They work better then what I have had in the past, but if it is really cold, they are still a pain.

I looked and these don't appear to be drinking safe hoses. i.e. at Lowes there are a couple that are for Marine or RV use and they comply with some 2014(?) federal standard for drinking.

The one I purchased was labeled right on the package that it was drinking water safe. The Zero G is not those hoses that they advertise in those adds on the tele.
Now I suppose it's possible that they have changed, bought ours several years ago. I roll it up on an electric cord reel.

Just checked their web site

https://www.apexhose.com/lightweight-hose-zero-g/

and show lead free/drinking water safe.

I get my hoses from RVwaterfilter.com and then use quick disconnects. Works well for me.

Zero G hoses are what I use. I have 2-25ft hoses, but mostly just use one. The blue ones are drinking water safe. I also have a dark grey one. It is NOT drinking water safe, but is great for the black tank flush and other uses.

What is this "cold" you speak of? Asking from Quartzsite, Arizona.

Flexzilla Hose

I just bought this hose and will give it a try. Looks like it is a good hose. From Flexzilla company.

Even the basic white RV water hoses can be easily coiled. I have said in the past that you don't coiled RV hoses, you wrestle them into submission. Now I hook them to my outside shower that has hose thread connections. Run hot water through it, you'll have to use the water pump. You can then coil the hose easily.

I was concerned about that as well so I reached out to ZeroG. I was told all the hoses they manufacture are potable water safe. The difference between the RV/marine and other hoses was weight. RV/marine hoses were a bit lighter.

Just bought a Flexzilla. Many big box stores, Menards and Tractor Supply carry them. 50’ length is about $40. Saw other MOC users with them and decided to give it a try.

My wife bought one on QVC several years ago called a Sun Joe Heavy Duty 50’ Stainless Steel Garden Hose. Always stayed flexible, never kinked or got tangled. Only 2 problems. The fittings are anodized aluminum that corrodes, and now, after 3 years, it leaks where the hose attaches to the fittings. May have to buy another one, cause the Campco blue one and the generic white ones are driving me crazy.

Edit: Not listed for drinking water, but we drink bottled when on the road anyway.
