Refrigerator and range hood electrical problem

My Montana 2980's refrigerator stops running sporatically when on AC auto and won't switch over to DC and the range light and fan (DC) also go off at the same time. They will all come back on later (30 mins to 12 hours). All other lights and electrics continue to function.

I would call Norcold or Dometic whichever you have and see what they say.

I am guessing you have a loose connection feeding those two items. Since the fridge and DC fan are acting at same time. The DC on the fridge powers the controlling circuit card so I believe when it fails so does your cooling control to the fridge. You will have to determine which side (fridge) or Fan feeds the failing circuit. Time to look for loose wire connections.
Good luck and let us know what you find.

I am with John. I think it will be either a loose connection or maybe a broken wire somewhere in that circuit.

I'd check the simplest first. Make sure all your DC fuses are well seated. Sounds to simplistic but I have heard of them coming a bit unseated when traveling down the road. They will be seated enough to make contact when cold but after use for a while they will give you a high open. Cools down and the open closes. Just a thought. Jim
