3850FL Montana

Hello to the MOC. We are looking to purchase a 2015 3850FL Montana and would like to know if someone that owns one could tell us if you can get to the kitchen with the slides in. Also saw a comment that the shower was small and wanted the radius one. Can this be ordered on a new coach? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your comments and help.

Not sure about the shower, but the kitchen and the dining table is accessible with the slides in. Obviously the fridge is accessible and the bathroom is as well through the back door. We stop at rest areas when traveling and have been known to fire up the built-in generator so DW can microwave bacon for sandwiches which we can then enjoy at the dining table. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your reply Bingo. I really wanted to know about the kitchen access. As for the shower I can ask the dealer.

Hi rvgwen! It may have been my post you read about the shower being small. Everyone else on the MOC with a 3850FL seems to have the Big Sky model, which has the radius shower. My husband is 5'8" and 165lbs. He's a trim guy and I'm smaller. We both feel the shower is cramped, so if you can get the radius one, I'd strongly recommend it.

The kitchen table comes with 4 chairs. We travel with our two kids, so we keep all the chairs lashed to the table with a strap around the chair legs while traveling. The four of us couldn't sit around the table with the slide in, but all four doors of the fridge/freezer are easily accessible. With all four chairs around the table you cannot easily access the lower kitchen cabinets or the hutch drawers and lower doors with the slide in, either.

Also, with the slides in there is no way into the back from the inside. However, I have used the back door to get things in and out of the back of the rig with the slides closed.

Having said all that, it's a wonderful floorplan that we love! Good luck!

Our 2015 2850FL just came into the dealer. We ordered it with every option you could get but the radius shower is not available on the Montana's now. You would have to go to a Big Sky model but the 2850FL isn't available in the Big Sky line in 2015. Hope that helps.

Gwen, Thought you might like to see the kitchen with the slide in. I took two pictures before opening up the slide at the CG today. Something to note: the table is hooked to the wall under the window when traveling. We usually unhook it when we're at our destination and turn it the other way.
