3721 owners with new pivot door

So far in our area we haven't been able to see a new 3720/3721 model with the new bathroom pivot door.

When it comes to accessing the bathroom does the new pivot door open with the slides in allowing a very skinny person to squeeze down the hallway to access the bathroom while in travel mode?

Or if the only option is to open the bedroom slide a bit how far would it have to go out for reasonable space to access the bathroom?

I have 3720 there is a pocket door going in the bedroom only, the one in the hallway is a pivot door and you need to open slide to access the bathroom. Ours is a 2016 model

Sorry, I meant the new pivot door going in from the hallway in my original post, I will correct it. One should re-read their post after it is typed I guess.

Thanks for your info, how far does the slide need to open?

I think you need to put the slide out maybe at least half way to access the bathroom. It's not a deep slide maybe 2 1/2 3 feet

We're not in the market for a newer model, but I'm still amazed at what the designers do to minimize usefulness while one is on the road.

Our 2016 does not have the pocket door. You can enter bathroom thru it....if you suck it in.

So are you saying your, I presume early, 2016 model has a regular door that opens in(?) and of course that leaves a very narrow space in the hallway to skinny along and enter the bath with the slide in?

If so maybe one could install a regular door in place of this new pivot door???

I don't think it would make a difference to put a regular door in. It's a very narrow space to get through

We have the same model. For sure the pivot door cannot be used with the slide in. We can use it with the slide a little less than halfway out. The distance that the slide will have to extend will depend on the size of your dunlap. You know - the part where your belly dunlaps over your belt.

It may not be possible with the curved walls, but it sure would be nice if Keystone could devise access to the bathroom with the slide fully closed.

So are you saying with the slide in and a regular bathroom door if you are skinny enough one can squeeze down the hall and enter the bathroom?

I also presume on your early 2016 the door opens IN to the bath?

I was out in mine this morning and if I had a regular door that opened in I could get in the bathroom, it's a little bit of a squeeze but you could do it. With pivot door it blocks hallway when opened, while slide is in .

We have a 3911FB, it has a regular door on the half bath. When the slide is in you can get to the half bath, but the door will swing open and hit the refrigerator, door which will dent your refrigerator door. All they had to do was put a door stop on the bathroom door. They have since put a swivel door on
on, but warranty will not cover the repair. This is a design flaw on Keystone part.
Solution: fix these doors for the people this has happend to. Or explain how to prevent this from happing.

Our 2016 3582 has the reg door on the half bath and no prob with slides closed. Saw the swivel door and would not buy one with it.
