I don't know how this would help in Colorado, but in California where I live, there is a local moving and storage that has it's scales open to the public for weighing of this type. They charge only $10 for as many points of weight you wish and as long as you don't need paperwork.
It's been a few years since I last weighed but I'm guessing it's still about the same even though we're now full-timing, DW and I have been very careful not to add too much and in fact, we've been unloading some stuff we don't use.
I do know my '06 SRW truck cannot tow the newer Montanas that have similar floorplans but higher GTWs so we're sticking with our unit for another bunch of years.
