Monty will be stored outside starting this year. Looking for suggestions on a cover. Thanks in advance.

Before we went full time our old rig sat outside in the Kansas wind, snow and cold and we never had a problem with decals or anything. If you get one, a good one that breathes is a must and they're heavy and can do damage to the trailer if you have the kind of winds we do.

I use an Adco. I have had good success with them over the years between my Cougar TT and now the Montana. It's not a custom, so extra care needs to be taken to make it fit well. It's worth it to me because I do a very extensive winterizing process before the cover goes on. We get some wind here in the NE but probably not the stuff Dick gets in Kansas. I like taking the cover off in the spring and finding everything clean and shiny, ready to go. They're not cheap, but you can spend a lot more and get a custom fit one for your particular rig if you want. Most guys here don't recommend them, but I haven't had any of the pitfalls that are associated with them, so will continue to cover for the winter.

Lots to consider when buying a cover...they are big, heavy, cumbersome and expensive. How will you get it on the roof? How will you put it on? Where will you store it when using the RV? Do you have any sharp edges on the RV that will wear a hole in the cover or the cover will wear it down? Can you access the RV with the cover on? Does it have vent holes? Does it have enough tie down straps to secure it against the strongest wind in your area?
My preference is covered storage...if available.

I don't use one here in Colorado Springs. No problems doing that.

We bought a Classic poly pro 3 for our 5th wheel 3yrs ago, its 2layer roof breathes really well and it’s stood up to Montana winters !!! Just ordered another to fit our new Montana 3155 ......good cover and great customer service.

I would go with covered or inside storage vice a cover.
