Propane hose replacement

I am in the process of replacing the propne hoses from the regulators to the tanks and ran across a thread size problem. The thread on the new hoses is 1/4 inch compression and the regulator is 3/8 inch pipe. It seems like my only solution is replacing the regulators. Any suggestions?
