The only thing I will miss

The only thing I will miss about the old truck is its beautiful color. When washed and polished, it really stands out. The new one is not so outstanding, bit more subdued. It does have bells and whistles in abundance. I tried to trade down but the best deal available was on another King Ranch.

I had a long talk with the service manager. The report I got was very positive. Seems the only service they are doing on the 2011s is oil change and tire rotations. That's quite different from the 6.0 L and 6.4 L histories.

Too bad I can't somehow connect my built in tire pressure monitor to monitor the Montana tires. Those Timbrens I bought will easily move over to the new truck, just one bolt on each side. I don't know that I need them, but I will move them anyway.

Dianna really likes the back up help from the tailgate camera. It gives a very clear picture and onscreen guidelines as to where the truck will end up if you keep backing.

The dashboard is beginning to look like a cockpit with all the digital indicators. If this keeps up, it might require a copilot to drive the thing.

The B&W turnover ball will be installed along with the Rhino-liner spray-in bed liner. We will pick it up tomorrow.

Oh, it's a Golden Bronze 2011 King Ranch F350 6.7L SRW w/3.55 RE

Congrats Stiles on the new ride. I know you're going to love it. Nice color too. I looked at that color pretty hard too but decided to stay with the white. Enjoy your new truck.

OK Ford people, quick question: Is it true Ford is putting 6.7 decals on Gas Trucks?? LOL, had a new 6.7 go by us the other day as we walked to the pool and it was quieter than many Gas trucks. So did Ford get a winner with their new engine? I was really thinking of switching, but having been a GM owner for many years (more than I want to count) decided to stay GM.
Best wishes with those new 6.7 Fords.

Congrats on the new truck. I have test driven the 2011 6.7 what a truck. Having driven a Superduty now for nearly 13 years ( early 99 ) Would not own anything else. I am holding off for that new body change hopefully in the next couple years.

It is really very quiet. I thought the 6.4 L was quiet, but this defines quiet for a diesel.

Stiles,
We just ordered our 2011 F350 so I don't have the TV to go check, does the built in tire pressure monitor system show the tire pressure of each tire on the dash? Or is it a low pressure warning system only.

What differences do you notice in your old KR end the new one.

Hey Stiles, the service man at our Ford dealer tried to get me to take one for a test drive. He said I would never want to go back once I did. He really had a lot of good to say about the new engine in them. Congratulations on the new truck, enjoy it and I hope you get many great years of service from it.

We have sold a number of them and everyone that owns them seems to love the performance and mileage. Did have one guy from California that had something come loose in the engine (that was attributed to the dealer down there doing something during his last oil change) Ford had us order a complete engine assy. and as he was from out of state-paid for his hotel stay here, then flew him and his dog back to Ca. and then flew him back up here to pickup his truck!! Called for engine back so the engineers could inspect it....

I should also state that he had already put 50,000 miles on the truck when this happened.

My old , 06 King Ranch was Oxford White. The new 2011 King Ranckh is White Platinum metallic tri-coat. It kinda looks like the color that is used on a lot of Cadillac Escalades. You know now that I think of it, these King Ranch trucks are sort of the Cadillacs of the diesel truck world. LOL

This was when his trade-in truck was new, and when he bought the new Big Sky
