DS Flood Light

We awoke one day to find our DS Flood light on on our 2010 Montanna. We tried the switch, although it was in the right position, on the inside switch panel to see if it would go off....no luck. We tried every fuse in the unit....no luck. As a last resort we removed the bulb. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what did you do?

Thanks for your time,

Brenda

It seems that I remember on previous posts regarding this issue that it was related to the remote. Does your unit have a remote? If so, I was thinking that if the panic light is accidentally turned on with the remote, that is the only way to turn it off. Personally, I haven't tried it yet, so I would be interested in your resolution, just in case I ever experience the same thing.

What is a DS flood light? Is it something new? Something I'm missing? Do I need one? Please share the secret.....

Phil,
I beleive they are talking about the DS "driver side" flood light and Bingo has it nailed with the remote. Turn it on with the remote and you MUST turn it off with the remote.

Phil.... maybe it's best you and I don't use a remote for lots of convenience. Besides forgetting what it last controlled, I'd lose it, break it or something worse and then really be in trouble.

I have one switch that controls both flood lights on my rig. I have a hard enough time remembering to turn it off at "lights out, quiet time" at the CG.

It's funny how I was so impressed at my rig and all its fanciness and in less than five years it has been reduced to a Mercury capsule compared to these Space Shuttle rigs they sell today.

I'm glad to hear Pokernose got her problem resolved with something so easy and convenient.

I usually don't use these lights anyway, when outside at night I carry a flashlight. I have been parked next to some folks who leave them on all night. I even had to ask one to turn them off as they shone right in my bedroom window. Easy to forget I guess. Yeah, Art, the only remote I have, (except for TV junk), is for my Lasko tower heater. I actually prefer it that way. Sometimes I feel like I own a Sputnik......

The MOC Forum comes through again! (Thank you Bingo.)

I've been scratching my head over this same problem for over a week. Just tried the remote and shut it off.

I have come out to our rig and found the very same light on for no reason at all. The rig is parked on our pad, unoccupied and the remote is inside, but yet somehow the light got turned on and the only way to turn it off is with the remote. Another mystery to figure out

Does DS mean driver side or door side? I always thought ds meant door side and ods meant off door side.

Had a similar experience today. Found the ds flood on, KNOW I didn't turn it on with the remote, which is sitting in the tv in an overhead compartment. We had used the tv remote to unlock it from inside the monty just before I spotted it. Now I need to watch closely and see if there is a relationship.
