A warm day means a chance for dock additions

Took advantage of the weather this weekend to assemble a couple of picnic tables. Assembly was done on the dock itself due to the weight of the items. The tables weigh about 80 pounds each and the umbrella stands weigh 50 pounds each. My back is reminding me today of the work done yesterday!! Come on Spring!!

You must have read my mind Bill, another thing we are doing is moving the grill to the dock when Spring finally gets here. Of course the grill will have to be anchored to the dock itself, since I would hate to have to fish it out of the river. I also had planned on putting some rod holders in the decking this weekend, but after the assembly of the tables was complete, I couldn't bend over anymore, can barely get up and down out of a chair. Getting old must be for the birds, cause it sure isn't working too well for me and my back!!

ARJ,
Doesn't have to be root beer I don't guess, but Jim did specify a kegerator. We don't drink alcohol and I am thinking that at least root beer comes in kegs??

Root beer does come in kegs. It would taste pretty good out there on a hot day.

Ok Bingo, lets see if we can get it right this time. Now go ahead and widen it out just a little bit and that Monty will fit right on there.

I would think my back would have taught me a lesson, but no....ordered the power pedestal, wiring, more dock hardware, two gallons of rust converter (if you haven't heard of it, Google it, it is some neat stuff) for the pilings, a dock ladder, a submerged steel frame for stabilizing the ends of the finger piers and checked on the availabilty and delivery time for the floating boat lift!!! Still have to get a hundred foot of rv/marine drinking water hose as well to run water down. Will I ever learn?? Probably not, oh well, gotta "get 'er dun" while I am still partially, almost, physically able to do it. Now if Spring would just get here so I can go camping and get some rest!!

Bingo,
You might want to consider using pex pipe for your water line. It comes in 100 foot rolls and is pretty durable.
