unknown valve

Hello again;

I have a mountaineer 297rks. I am sure i was told this at delivery, but i have forgotten. In my left front bay, where the valves are for the holding tanks, there is a clear hose with a cap on it going down into the bottom of the trailer. My question is what is that for?

Larry,
If there is only one, I would guess that it is a drain for your water tank ??
Our 2980RL Montana has 2 there. Low point darains for both hot & Cold water lines.
They just drain out on the ground.

No, I know where those are, the one I am talking about is in the front bay, where the valves for black tank and grey tank are located.

Thanks
Larry

Larry, I'm not sure about the Mountaineer but a couple of weeks ago we were in a park with MOC member Jimc. He showed me the box with all the hookups... can't remember what it is called. It had a clear hose like you mentioned. He told me it is for winterizing. No longer do you have to do this inside and chance staining the carpet. It can be done from that utility box. That hose would be put into a jug of RV antifreeze, turn on the water pump, open faucets to pump it into the lines. Could this be what yours is?
