Basement Storage Hanging Suggestions

I am curious if anyone has any recommendations on adding hooks to the wall or aluminum frame in the basement to hang a few things that aren't too heavy? I use sealed plastic containers on the floor for things such as liquids, grill, spare parts, hoses/cords and tools - works great. Just seems it might be more efficient to add a few screwed on hooks for some items like my water hoses, extension cord flagpole, broom or other items. I do use the stick-on hooks for a few light items such as funnel, dustpan, dust brush and barbeque brush. Any recommendations or perhaps a bad idea?

I got the same model as you and I bought a big variety Pack of assorted hooks big L shaped hooks,J hooks etc. from the Hardware store, and screwed them right thru the wall on the right side and left side walls to hold brooms.,hoses, flag poles etc.. works great and easy to do just drill a pilot hole first and then screw the hooks in making sure you do not go thru anything vital on the other side,Piece of cake to do and Cheap

I have several things screwed to my front wall with screws that don't go thru and they've held for over 45,000 miles and many many large holes. I use all my space from floor to ceiling so I've never gone there, but I wouldn't be afraid of using the studs.

I bought a rail system that you use on walls of your garage that's hangs your rakes and lawn tools on. Was able to mount to walls of pass through storage. Bought an assortment of hooks to hang on rails which hold my hoses and extension cords on. There adjustable so you can slide them where you want them.

This is similar to what I put up, I got it at HomeDepot

Thanks all for the ideas. Hooks in wall, rail system - they're all great! Thanks also for the link to the MOC storage postings last September; I think I looked at it, but forgot where and when - so now it's new to me again! I'm getting ready to go and I like more organization so this will give me a good start. I'm going to do something to make it easier.

On a similar note, one thing I do that cuts down on set up and departure effort is I use Quick Connects on my Convenience Center, hose, pressure regulator and "T" that connects to the water supply. I also leave my cable connection connected and coil and secure with Velcro in the Convenience Center.

Thanks again, appreciate all the ideas.

I use 2" PVC pipe on the front and rear walls of the basement to store a shovel, axe, splitting maul, hot dog forks and pie irons. Spring clamps hold fishing rods to the floor joists.

Was kinda wondering the same about our 3710fl. Only I wanted to put a TV mount on the inside so we can swing out a tv. Anybody done this? The hook ups are right there just don't know if the wall is capable of holding that much weight.

Or if it's even possible considering the basement on this model is very narrow in comparison to other models. Don't know exactly. Would have to measure.

Just saw your post on the basement wall and asking is the wall strong enough to mount a TV? My wall is strong enough - its 3/8" or 1/2" plyboard. What I did to strengthen mine (as I think it is the weak link) is I added 3 heavier Sheet Metal screws to better secure the wall to the aluminum frame before adding storage hooks that would hold some weight. The factory screws are smaller and a little wimpy for weight bearing IMO. Much stronger now.

My HC came with a swivel tv mount from moryde. It is for a small Tv that was in the bedroom. So yes it can be done.
