If this new car can be towed???

The Zenn car......what do you think? I don't know if it can be
towed but the idea of the vehicle is interesting.

Be interesting to know how they perform in actual use. When we arrived in Phoenix this winter one of the well know car companies had their international VP here trying to pacify owners. Turns out that the heat here in the summer lowered the milage available from the batteries to a uselessly low number. Real life is the real determining factor.

It looks something like the smart car. Not sure but I think it’s a little larger than the smart car. It should be towable and you could tow it on a fairly small trailer.

Enough cargo room for 20 cases of beer. I like. Should be done charging before I need more beer.

If you go to zenncars.com which appears to be the official web site for the company they have nothing at all about the cars. Just investor info ....... hummmmm

According to Wikipedia the car only has a 40 mile range with a 25mph top speed. Also appears that production stopped 3 years ago on 4/30/10. Only a total of 500 were produced and sold.

They are bigger than a Smart Car. The ZENN is 122" long. A Smart is 104" (I think the 2013 Smart is 106" or 108". Smart cars are popular with the HDT crowd but with the new length they can no longer be hauled sideways like in the past).

Basically a Golf Cart IMO. They are using 6 12v AGM battries that take 8 hours to recharge.

Boy some campground get upset if you use electric heat or heat pumps. I would imagine plugging in a electric car would really get the CG owner going.

The only really initiative electric car is the Tesla IMO. It has real range thanks to the Lithium ION batteries. Most of the Hybrids are just feel good cars. There are several non-hybrids in the sames sizes with more power and better fuel mileage.
